“Armenian Genocide: 100 Years of Memory” AGBU France Presents a Concert Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet in Yerevan to broadcast live the Concert from Chatelet Theater, Paris on April 21.
A unique concert initiated by AGBU France Chapter will take place at Chatelet Thetaer, Paris on April 21. The concert dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is held under the high patronage of the President of France Francois Hollande.
The concert program will feature pieces by Armenian composers including Komitas and Aram Khachaturyan and Michel Petrossian. For the first time the concert will feature the “Armenian World Orchestra” conducted by famous Alain Altinoglu and consisting of 50 Armenian musicians from the world’s most famous orchestras. Among other participants of the concert are the “Gulbenkian choir”, famous soprano Hasmik Papian, mezzo-soprano Nora Gubisch, tenor Liparit Avetissian, bass Tigran Martirossian.
French Embassy in Armenia, in partnership with the RA Culture Ministry and Orange Armenia, has organized the live broadcast of the concert from Chatelet Theater on a huge screen at the Al. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. Due to time difference the concert in Yerevan will start at 22:00 on April 21.
