Separate pavilion to be created on Armenian Genocide centennial at Buenos Aires book exhibition

The events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will have four directions in Argentina – political, cultural, academic, and religious. In a conversation with “Armenpress”, Professor Khatchig DerGougassian of University of San Andrés, Buenos Aires stated that the political initiative dedicated to the Armenian Genocide centennial in the Luna Hall Of Fame in Buenos Aires is of a certain importance. The country’s political and public figures will attend the event.
Among other things, Professor Khatchig DerGougassian noted: “It’s natural that the top officials of the Argentine Government will attend the event. According to the tradition, the representatives of the Armenian community will hold a protest action on April 28 and after will march to the Turkish Embassy to Buenos Aires.”
“A separate pavilion will be created for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at the international book exhibition in Buenos Aires. The Armenian community makes serious preparations for that event,” Professor concluded.
