U.S. Peace Corps representatives visit the RA Ministry of Diaspora
On March 5, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Country Director of Peace Corps Armenia Charles Enciso, acting Programs and Courses Director James Bach and Public Relations Coordinator Mariam Arzumanyan.
Minister Hranush Hakobyan introduced the guests to the activities of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, the programs contributing to the national preservation of Armenians abroad and news websites, as well as the upcoming events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Armenia.
Charles Enciso and James Bach talked about Peace Corps Armenia’s activities, as well as the community and rural projects.
The minister expressed her satisfaction with Peace Corps Armenia and emphasized the fact that the Peace Corps volunteers had made notable contributions to the organizing of English language teaching in different regions and rural areas of Armenia and to the radicalization of a healthy lifestyle among the population since the first years of existence of Peace Corps Armenia.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the opportunities for collaboration between the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the U.S. Peace Corps with the purpose of implementing youth and instructive programs.
