On October 3, famous saxophonist Hayrapet Arakelyan gave a concert with pianist Lolita Poghosyan at the Armenian Embassy in Canada.

Hayrapet Arakelyan is a recipient of several international awards and has given concerts with the world famous Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Russian State Chamber Orchestra and other orchestras.

In his opening remarks, RA Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan attached importance to presenting young and talented Armenians to foreigners and stressed the imperative to present the rich Armenian culture.

The concert included performances of a number of works by French, German, Argentinean and Armenian composers. Among those attending the concert were diplomats, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations and the local Armenian community.

Hayrapet Arakelyan also gave concerts in Toronto and Montreal.
