The Commission for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia gives modern resonance to the system of values being transferred from the Republic of Armenia to the new Armenia”

“I believe that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will take actions that will quickly lead to outcomes for the people. Those actions will first and foremost concern the customs sector, tourism, social issues and issues that are directly related to the people,” Editor-in-Chief of Lebanon’s Aztag Armenian Daily, political analyst Shahan Kandaharian said in response to Noyan Tapan’s question as to what kind of programs Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan needs to implement immediately.
The Lebanese-Armenian political figure stated that, in addition to the mentioned issues, the Prime Minister has a wonderful opportunity to turn the pan-national movement into a pan-national celebration and the consolidation of all Armenians, the pivot of which is the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the First Republic of Armenia. “I believe the State Commission for the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary should be restored in an operative manner; moreover, not only within Armenia, but also in the Armenian world in order to celebrate the most essential and most crucial event in our modern history.”
During the conversation, Shahan Kandaharian noted that the new Armenia can be linked to the years of the establishment of the Republic of Armenia with modern resonance and very symbolically, taking into consideration the parliamentary system and democratic regime of those days and especially the consolidation of all Armenians.
“The Commission for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia should start operating adjunct to the Prime Minister or perhaps under his chairmanship. It can become a modern resonance of the system of values being transferred from the First Republic of Armenia to the new Armenia.”
