Toros Roslin Cultural Program for application and dissemination of Armenian miniature art launched

The Toros Roslin Cultural Program was launched on the basis of the main Armenian Alphabet project. As report the organizers to Hayern Aysor, the name of the cultural program is in honor of great Armenian miniature artist Toros Roslin, whose works (school of Armenian miniature art of Cilicia) have helped hundreds of generations of Armenians become educated and master the features of Armenian miniature art in terms of color, style and composition.

The program features:

  • the creation of miniature art collages of the Armenian alphabet (coloring)
  • the creation of copyright works (freelance painting)
  • copyright reproductions
  • organizing of professional and authors’ exhibitions devoted to Armenian medieval miniature art

Sub-programs under different and interesting headings for the development of corporate culture are envisaged under the program. There are two spiritual components of the Toros Roslin Cultural Program, including the Armenian alphabet and medieval Armenian miniature art, and their application as invaluable values of Armenian cultural heritage is envisaged on the basis of the latest approaches to artistic thinking, cultural cooperation and preservation of Armenian culture that will create preconditions for the development of several fields of the arts and culture (painting, miniature art, book miniature art, design, miniature art batica, organizing of corporate cultural services, etc.).

One of the key priorities of the Toros Roslin Cultural Program is the engagement of Armenian student painters and alumni, the development of tasks for enhancement of experience in creating and producing own work, the implementation of models for cultural cooperation with art schools and universities, which will help young Armenian painters express themselves and gain experience.

The representatives of the Armenian Alphabet Project invite Armenian student painters and recent graduates to collaborate. Applications can be sent to hayoc.aybuben@gmail.com and armenian-miniature@mail.ru (both at the same time) with your CV and a couple of your copyright works (miniature paintings are desired, if available).
