Armenia’s Central Bank puts into circulation new commemorative coins

Starting from 30 March, the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia has put into circulation four types of the Noyan Tapan Gold Commemorative Coin, reported the Public Relations Service of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

The front side of the commemorative coins portrays the coat-of-arms of the Republic of Armenia, and the back side portrays Noah’s Ark, the pigeon with an olive branch in its beak and Mount Ararat against the background of the sun. The sketches are by Eduard Kurghinyan, and the coins were printed at the banknote printing house of Geiger Edelmetalle (Germany).
