Certain chapters of Artsakh Republic’s new Constitution have entered into force

Published in the Official Journal of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on 28 February, the text of the Constitution of the Artsakh Republic has been posted on the website of the National Assembly, reported the press service of the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic.
Based on the results of the February 20 referendum, the draft of the new Constitution of the Artsakh Republic was approved by the prevailing majority of citizens of the Republic.
Pursuant to part 1 of Article 166 of the new Constitution of the Artsakh Republic, “Chapters 1-3 and Chapter 12 of the Constitution shall enter into force on the tenth day following the day of promulgation in the Official Journal of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”.
The provisions of the aforementioned chapters of the new Constitution are in effect in the territory of the Republic of Armenia starting from 10 March 2017.
