Open letter to Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper and online media outlets-“The “Ari Tun” Program has become the best way of recognizing and growing to love the Homeland”

This morning, we read an article in the newspaper stating that we are “discontent” with our beloved “Ari Tun” Program. We read it, got surprised and then got mad at the people who had tried to speak on our behalf and write things that were not true. Who gave permission to make such statements on our behalf? After all, our parents, friends and the participants of the future stages of the program will also read that article and some might accept it as the truth.
So, we ask you not to spoil our impressions with your articles. We are having a great time here and will be leaving with good impressions.
Taking the opportunity, we want everyone to know that our participation in the “Ari Tun” Program has become the best way of recognizing and growing to love the Homeland.
We must express our special gratitude to the organizers and the host families for organizing the program very well and for receiving us as their own children.
We know very well that we all live in different countries and have different lifestyles, but we are approached individually. The task force approaches its task humanly and responsibly. Police officers, doctors and tour guides escort us every day, and at Lake Sevan we are also greeted by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who ensure our safety. They say it is good to see it once than hear about it a thousand times. Words can’t describe what we saw in the homeland. We have a busy schedule that includes courses on Armenian language and native studies courses, sightseeing in Armenia, Armenian song and dance lessons and national games during the camping event and meetings with state and cultural figures.
As for nutrition, we must particularly stress the fact that there is no need to suspect the quality and freshness of the food since we have been eating fresh and tasty food every day. We like the food and don’t need to buy other food.
Of course, all the participants of the program regret that the program ends soon.
Taking the opportunity, we would like to ask the Minister of Diaspora to extend the period of the program from two weeks to three weeks. The later we return the better (to be honest, we don’t even want the program to end…)
