On April 24, an event commemorating the 101^st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held in the Spanish city of Alicante and attended by representatives of the Municipality of Alicante, Advisor to the Mayor of Alicante Gloria Vera and members of the local Armenian community.

The participants marched to the cross-stone dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, as reported head of the Armenian community of Alicante Hasmik Kocharyan to Hayern Aysor.

Children participated in a small exhibition organized near the cross-stone and were holding photos of the Armenian Genocide. They also recited poems.

A letter condemning the governments of Turkey and Azerbaijan was read during the event.

At the end, the attendees laid flowers near the cross-stone.
