The “Amen” Project, which is dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, will be presented in Italy on August 15-16. This is what ballet master of the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet Rudolf Kharatyan told “Armenpress” as he touched upon the event that was postponed last year.
“The “Amen” Project will be presented at the Arena di Verona Concert Hall of Italy. The best groups, ensembles and choreographers perform in that hall with fear. The Project will gather international stars and performers, and the history of the Armenian people will be presented on a thin red line throughout the entire performance,” Rudolf Kharatyan mentioned.
According to the People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia, he will be choreographing the performance. “Presenting Armenia in a way for people to know the country is a very responsible task. It is a very meticulous task. We have something to show the world,” he emphasized, adding that the premiere of the performance was postponed last year due to technical difficulties in Verona.
The “Amen” Project will present the history of the Armenian people, their origin and destiny. The goal of the Project is to show that, in spite of all the losses and difficulties, Armenia continues to be a flourishing country of happy and creative people.
Among the performers will be the Neue Philharmonie Hamburg, Hover Chamber Choir, as well as opera singers Hasmik Papyan, Mario Frangulis, Placido Domingo Junior, Barsegh Tumanyan, Juliet Galstyan, Rosi Anoush Svazlian and others.
