Aivazovsky’s 100 paintings and 50 graphic works to be exhibited in Moscow and Saint Petersburg this year

The administrations of Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum have decided to apply sessions for visits to the Hovhannes (Ivan) Aivazovsky’s exhibition in order to prevent the potential accumulations of people, reports “Armenpress”.
The exhibition will be held in Moscow (28 July-20 November) and in Saint Petersburg (late November to February 2017). This is what General Director of Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova said during a press conference, reports RIA Novosti.
The exhibition of the world famous seascape painter is dedicated to his 200th birth anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2017. Visitors will view 100 paintings and 50 graphic works by Aivazovsky.
“We took the decision to apply a schedule for visits to the Aivazovksy exhibition and sell tickets online according to the schedule so that people understand that if a person’s ticket is for 10:00, then that person has to come at 1000 so that he or she can leave the building at 12:00,” Tregulova said.
