French Days in Artsakh

On September 17-19, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic will host the “French Days in Artsakh” Festival, which will include several events presenting France and French culture. The goal of the festival is to strengthen the friendly relations between Artsakh and France, as well as expand the dialogue and spheres of cooperation.

According to aparaj.am, the festival will bring together nearly 200 representatives of the France-Karabakh Friendship Circle, French cities having established friendly ties with communities of Artsakh, the “Support to Karabakh” Union and the Armenian community of France, as well as artists and journalists.

The program of the “French Days in Artsakh” Festival includes the solemn unveiling of the “Eternity” sculpture by sculptor Toros in the French Square of Stepanakert and the groundbreaking ceremony for the “Paul Elyuar Home” Francophonie Center, a literary and artistic event at School N 1 of Stepanakert, a presentation of the cuisines of France and Artsakh, the opening of the Yeznik Mozyan Arts and Crafts School in Shushi, a presentation of animated films made by France’s Folimage Studio at the State Museum of Fine Arts in Shushi and a contest for preparing postcards symbolizing the France-Karabakh friendship at Shahumyan Square in Stepanakert. The festival will end with French-Armenian singer Patrick Fiori’s concert at Renaissance Square in Stepanakert on September 19.
