Intellectuals of Argentina, defenders of human rights, members of a number of NGOs organized a protest action in front of the Embassy of Turkey in Argentina. As Armenpress reports, referring to PrensaArmenia.com.ar, the Armenian community of Argentina also participated in the protest action.

The protesters expressed solidarity to the Kurds and demanded from Turkey to cease military operations both in Syria and against the Kurds.

“Turkey harasses the Kurds and the population of Iraq and Syria under the pretence of fighting the Islamic State. It is unacceptable. Today Turkey wants to do what it did 100 years ago. The international community must stop this.”, stated the protesters. They walked to the Embassy demanding from Turkey to stop terrorist actions and face its own history acknowledging the crimes it had committed.
