Australian-Armenians to raise funds to help Syrian-Armenians

The Armenian community of Australia will support the Armenians of Aleppo and will try to support their brothers and sisters in a state of war through material and financial assistance, writes “Armenpress”.

According to Armeniaau.com, starting from June 22nd, Australian-Armenians will hold a weeklong event called “Help the Armenians of Aleppo Now”, after which all the proceeds and other means of material assistance will be transferred to the Armenians living in Aleppo.

The charity act will end with a big concert and the announcement of the total sum on June 28. Prior to the launch of the event, the six Armenian organizations having organized the charity act have also disseminated a message stating that the Australian-Armenian community is following the events taking place in Syria and must support the Armenians of Aleppo at this difficult moment in time.

“They’re in a very bad situation, and we can help them with financial assistance. They don’t have food, water or medicine. The funds raised and the material assistance will help them solve those issues,” as stated in the message.
