Petition to preserve Armenian homes in Mush has been launched in Turkey

An online petition has been launched to prevent the elimination of historical Armenian homes in Mush. As reported by “ArmenPress”, in the petition posted on the Turkish imzakampanyam.com it is mentioned that the Turks are currently settling scores with all ancient nations whose “issues remained unsolved after 1915”.

“The Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians are being systematically massacred. The process that began in 1915 continues today as cultural and economic genocide,” as mentioned in the petition. The organizers have raised their voices of protest against the fact that the ruling “Justice and Development Party wants to destroy the historical homes of Armenians in Mush and hand them over to TOKI construction firm. “The goal is to earn as much profit as possible and eliminate the collective memory at the same time. The Kemals wanted to eliminate all traces of the Armenian people in this region, which is the residence of the Armenian people. Currently, the “Justice and Development” Party is doing the same thing,” say the organizers, adding that human rights defense organizations in Mush and Kurdish political parties have a lot of work to do. They have warned that the Turkish authorities will be able to do the same to the Kurds several years from now.

“Eliminating a culture means eliminating mankind. This is a historical massacre. Sign and prevent this destruction for the sake of brotherhood and equality of nations,” as stated at the end of the message. The participants of the petition to preserve Armenian historical heritage intend to collect 10,000 electronic signatures.
