On July 29, the RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Mr. and Mrs. Vardan and Armine Aghajanyan, the Artistic Directors of “Zvartnots″ Dance Ensemble  in Glendale.

The Minister congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Vardan and Armine Aghajanyan on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of the ensemble and highly rated the anniversary concert held in the packed auditorium of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after Al. Spendiarian. The RA Minister of Diaspora stated that every time the ensemble is performing the Armenian dance in a more and more improved versions. “Even the Armenian dance ensembles have to learn a lot from you”- said the Minister and added: “I think that culture is the main basis for the preservation of the Armenian identity in Diaspora. You are able to create an Armenian atmosphere on a foreign land for the Armenian children, where, by dancing the Armenian dances and learning the history and the traditions of the Armenian dance, they grow up as true Armenians”.

The RA Minister of Diaspora stressed that the well-known dancing-masters managed to find the key to approach each of the children and that the concerts held in the Homeland represent a specific report on the great work done by them.

Thanking the RA Ministry of Diaspora for the warm reception, irreplaceable assistance in organization of the concerts within the framework of “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival, as well as for tackling all the issues related to their comfortable accommodation in the Homeland, Vardan Aghajanyan said: “Being rewarded Golden Medal,  the highest award of the Ministry of Diaspora, is very important for us. It means that our 25-year activity has not been in vain. Dear Ms. Hakobyan, we really feel at our ministry”.

Mr. and Mrs. Vardanyan invited the Minister H. Hakobyan to Glendale to present their activities in their premises and to discuss various issues related to the enhancement of the ensemble’s further activity.
