Ceremony of paying homage to great Armenian actress Varduhi Varderesian to be held under the patronage of the RA Ministry of Diaspora

On Apr. 10 at 17:00, officials, intellectuals and cultural figures will participate in a ceremony of paying homage to People’s Artist of the USSR Varduhi Varderesian at Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall. The ceremony is sponsored by the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

The event will begin with welcoming remarks by RA Acting Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, after which Varduhi Varderesian will read the poems of Armenian poets.

The ceremony will include a presentation of Varduhi Varderesian’s career, a screening of parts from the films Heart of a Mother (“Mor Sirte”), For Honor (“Patvi Hamar”) and Karine, the play My Heart is in the Mountains (“Im Sirte Lernerum E”), as well as presentations of opinions of great representatives of Armenian cinema, theater and literature about the great actress.

The event will also include musical performances by opera singer Arevik Baghdasaryan, violinist David Pivazyan and the “Sharavigh” Syrian-Armenian Children’s Choir.
