First wedding to be held in Talish since Four-Day Artsakh War in April 2016

Tomorrow a wedding will take place in Talish for the first time since the Four-Day Artsakh War. This is what head of Talish village Vilen Petrosyan told Aravot.am. According to him, the wedding ceremony of Tigran Petrosyan and Lilit Biruzyan is being organized under the direct sponsorship of the President of the Republic of Artsakh.

In an interview with Aravot.am, Tigran said that his and his bride’s families were compelled to take shelter in various settlements of Artsakh (Askeran and Martakert regions) after April 2016. “I have been living at our house in Talish for the past year. We rebuilt it after the war. Currently, I not only serve at one of the military units of the Defense Army, but am also actively involved in the construction works for the restoration of Talish,” Tigran stated. He assured that he will resettle in Talish a short while after the wedding. “After we get married, we will settle in Talish so that the other residents of Talish follow our example and return to Talish,” he said.
