Azerbaijan is trying to lead the negotiations to failure-Davit Babayan on Azerbaijan’s drone

Azerbaijan’s policy is a policy of terror in its essence, and this is why Baku takes provocative actions on the frontline in order to lead the negotiations for a peaceful settlement to failure before, during and after all major meetings.
This is what Spokesman of the President of the Republic of Artsakh Davit Babayan told Artsakhpress as he touched upon another provocation made by the adversary in the northern sector of the line of contact of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan forces on 20 January, applying a projectile of a mortar from a drone in the direction of Armenian border guards.
“We are used to this kind of a policy; moreover, we have already predicted that the adversary’s provocative actions will be unique this year since several events are scheduled to place in Azerbaijan throughout the year. First of all, Azerbaijan is getting ready for presidential elections. In addition, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the formation of that artificial state, the 95th birth anniversary of Heydar Aliev and the 25th anniversary of the “loss” of the military bases and shooting ranges of Aghdam, Fizuli, Jebrayil, Kubatlu, Zangelan and Kelbajar, and it is obvious that all this prepares ground for speculations, falsehood and cries of patriotism. In this sense, Azerbaijan will take aggressive steps in the field of information and in political and diplomatic relations, and of course, it will make various provocations along the length of the border. This is the essence of that country,” the President’s Spokesman said.
According to Babayan, there is no danger of a large-scale war, but we need to be ready since the enemy will make attempts to take dirty steps throughout the year.
Talking about Russia’s provision of another consignment of weapons to Azerbaijan, Babayan stated that the official Stepanakert’s position remains unchanged and that it is against any country selling weapons to Azerbaijan.
“We find that no civilized country should have any relation with Azerbaijan since Azerbaijan is leading a policy of terror. Besides the military operations that are regularly carried out against Artsakh, currently, nearly 1,000 Azerbaijani militants are part of ISIS. ISIS is fighting against the civilized world, and Russia is also a part of that civilized world,” D. Babayan.
