Armenian cross-stone consecrated in Belgium’s Kortrijk

On May 27, an Armenian cross-stone was unveiled and consecrated during a ceremony held in the city of Kortrijk of the Kingdom of Belgium, reported Narek Armenian Cultural Union of Kortrijk to Hayern Aysor.

An Armenian cross-stone may become a source of inspiration for preserving national values for the new generation of Armenians overseas.

As Mayor Vincent Van Quickenborne noted in his speech, it is not by chance that this cross-stone is placed next to the largest church in the heart of the city, symbolizing the friendship between the Belgians and the Armenians.

President of Narek Armenian Cultural Union of Kortrijk Artak Zhamharyan voiced hope that this cross-stone would have its worthy place among the numerous monuments in the city and would become one of the sites to see.
