Artsakh soldier receives gunshot wound

On the night of 16 January, the adversary continued to commit ceasefire violations more than 60 times on the line of contact of the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan forces, firing nearly 680 shots at Armenian border guards mainly with rifles of different diameters.
The frontline military units of the Defense Army have command of the operative-tactical situation and continue to meet their combat objective with confidence.
As reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, on 16 January at around 23:55, serviceman Gurgen Sargsyan (father’s name: Harutyun) (born in 1997) received a gunshot wound in the consequence of violation of the rules of use of a weapon at the maintenance station of one of the military units of the Defense Army stationed in the eastern direction.
Investigation is underway to clarify the details of the incident.
