On October 21, with 85 MPs “for”, 7 “against” and 6 “neutral”, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia approved the program of the new government.

Let us mention that head of the faction of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan declared the following prior to the voting: “We can’t express confidence in any government that has been nominated by the ruling political party. Thus, we will express our lack of confidence in the program of the Government by voting against it.”

Members of the Rule of Law Party’s faction declared that they would abstain from voting, while the factions of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun and the Republican Party of Armenia endorsed the Government’s program.
