On October 18, Armenia’s Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchyan met with Minister of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon Elias Bou Saab, as reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hayern Aysor. 

The sides discussed the steps aimed at revitalizing cooperation in the education sector and attached special importance to the need for taking action to implement the signed agreements. In that context, an agreement was reached on holding regular meetings and goal-oriented discussions to promote cooperation between the two countries in the education sector.

During the conversation, the sides addressed the existing friendly relations between the two countries and the active and constructive role of the Armenian community of Lebanon, which can be seen in all sectors of the country. The Minister recalled the visit that he made to Armenia in 2015 to participate in the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

The interior political developments in Lebanon were also addressed during the meeting.
