Syrian-Armenians will be able to drive with their Syrian driver’s licenses for another year in Armenia. This is what the Armenian government decided during its October 13 session.

According to Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, even though the driver’s licenses granted to Syrian-Armenians in Syria should not be officially recognized in Armenia since they don’t comply with the 1968 Convention on Road Traffic, Syrian-Armenians will be allowed to use them.

Starting from the first months of this year, 97 Syrian-Armenian families have arrived in Armenia, and another 4 families have arrived over the past 10 days.
