The international community indeed puts a very serious pressure on Aliyev’s regime, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Shavarsh Kocharyan, told Media Center Friday.

Touching on the fact that Aliyev was received with great honor in Washington, the Deputy FM noted that very serious pressure is put on Aliyev in connection with observing human rights and torpedoing the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, especially considering that through its provocative actions on the Line of Contact and the border, Azerbaijan actually poses a threat to the regional stability.

“From this perspective, certain pressure is put on Azerbaijan. And the pressure also supposes maintaining certain level of relations.

We can’t precisely say what Aliyev and Kerry talked about, but I can record one thing: during the meeting with media, Aliyev again didn’t lose the opportunity to distort the international law. This man thinks that his opinion is more important than the standpoint of the international community,” Shavarsh Kocharyan said.
