Exhibition dedicated to 400th anniversary of Armenian book printing in Ukraine opened in Kiev

On March 23 the “Armenian Heritage” exhibition, which is dedicated to the history and culture of the Armenians of Ukraine, opened at Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, in capital city Kiev. Analitikaua.net reports, citing , that the exhibition presented interesting facts about the long history of Armenians in Ukraine.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Ukraine Andranik Manukyan, Ukrainian official figures and members of the Armenian community. Historian and Head of the Committee on Historical and Cultural Heritage Affairs of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, David Davtyan led the presentation of the exhibition. At the event, presentation and transmission of Armenian literature to National Library of Ukraine name Vernadsky was held within the framework of the program of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine on the formation of the Armenian book collection.
The exhibition is organized by the efforts of the Committee of historical and cultural heritage of the Union of Armenians in Ukraine, Armenian community of Kiev and by team of the National Library of Ukraine name Vernadsky. As previously reported, Armenian book printing in Ukraine turns 400 years old in the current year. City Lviv became the fourth center of Armenian printing after Venice, Rome and Constantinople.
