Children of Hadrut received New Year’s gifts from the FAR and made new friends

This year’s New Year’s program of the “Ayo” (Yes) Platform of the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR) included surprises for the children of Nagorno-Karabakh, as reports the FAR Armenia Office to “Armenpress”.
Through the “Gifts to Children” Program, 600 schoolchildren of 6 schools of Yerevan (Ayb, Maksedan, Lev Tolstoy School N 128, Mesrop Mashtots School N 2, the Aregnazan Art School and H. Kojoyan Art School) had prepared gifts and placed them in boxes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students of the Hadrut region of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Besides the gifts, each child had also placed a letter in his or her box, and the creators of the “Ayo” Platform had added hats, gloves and stockings for the winter.
The nearly one-month fundraiser helped many people living in Armenia and abroad to raise 2,919 dollars to help turn the fairy tale of the New Year into a reality for the children.
Armenia organized various festivities for the fundraiser, including a concert at Hanrapetutyan Hraparak (Republic Square) Metro Station and a sale of handmade toys.
“Ayo” also participated in the New Year’s fairs held at Loft and Aeon cafes, raising nearly AMD 95,000. Let us mention that the handmade works were created thanks to the constant efforts and assistance from “Ayo” volunteers.
Thanks to everyone’s participation, 1,800 children received New Year’s gifts, warm clothes and accessories for the winter and made new friends.
