Among the guests were high-level officials of Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of International Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture and other ministries and government institutions, foreign ambassadors, diplomats, public and political figures, businesspersons, journalists, as well as numerous members of the Egyptian-Armenian community.

In his speech ambassador of Armenia Armen Melkonian spoke about Armenia’s achievements of the latest period, as well as the progress of Armenian-Egyptian relations. He also addressed the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, revealing Azerbaijans’s destructive stance on the issue and condemning its continuous and gross violations of ceasefire and bombardment of peaceful settlements. Speaking about the significance of commemoration of the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian Ambassador noted that the Armenian people will never forget the support and caring approach that the Egyptians have shown unto those who survived the horrors of the Genocide and found shelter on the banks of the Nile.
