The Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia Aram I received Father Dr. Michel Jalakh, General Secretary of the Middle East Council of Churches. Armenpress was informed on the aforementioned from the official website of the Armenian ChurchCatholicosate of Cilicia. The working visit gave a possibility to discuss issues connected with fostering the relations between MECC and WCC and in that framework, a special reference was made to the realization of several joint projects.
The plan of organizing a meeting between pastors and the agenda of the MECC Executive Committee conference was discussed during the meeting. His Holiness Aram I stressed the importance of expanding the cooperation between the churches preventing the rise of issues of political and interreligious nature.
