Tamar Kaprelian, member of Genealogy group to be representing Armenia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, has undertaken an initiative.

Staying true to the slogan “Building Bridges” of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, the Armenian representatives are building a new bridge with the representatives of other countries participating in the contest.

Members of Genealogy group Tamar Kaprelian, Stephanie Topalian, Mary-Jean O’Doherty Vasmatzian, as well as the representatives of Albania, Estonia and Greece recorded today a new song, the music and lyrics of which are by Tamar Kaprelian. The song is called “The other side”.

According to writer of the song Tamar Kaprelian, the aim of the collaboration is to further strengthen the bonds between the participants.

“Music unites us because it’s above everything else. Of course, we’re different, but music has a great and generalizing force. It unites, eliminates cultural differences and closes the existing gaps. I’m very nervous and feel very responsible because we’re recording the song that I wrote, but I think the result will be interesting and satisfying.”

The song is a call for peace and unity, as well as a special gift on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest.
