Aleppo-Armenian children received gifts for the New Year

Primate of the Aleppo Diocese, His Grace, Archbishop Shahan Sarkisian and Aleppo-Armenian prose writer Berdjuhi Avedian visited on December 18 Armenian pre-schools and gave children the booklet “Children’s Book Series 5” of the Aleppo Diocese written by Berdjuhi Avedian and special colored pencils as gifts, as Gandzasar reports.

His Holiness and Aleppo-Armenian prose writer Berdjuhi Avedian wished the children a Happy New Year. His Holiness urged he children to read books in Armenian more often in order to have good knowledge of the Armenian language and feel the joy of reading in Armenian. His Holiness and Avedian had a conversation with the administration and boards of trustees of the schools and placed emphasis on the importance of books for children.

The booklet will be distributed as gifts to the children of all Armenian pre-schools in Aleppo.
