Visit to Oshakan, presentation of books devoted to Western Armenian and roundtable discussion on Western Armenian to be held on Mother Language Day

On February 21 at 11:00, there will be a visit to Oshakan under the leadership of Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia Hranush Hakobyan, a wreath-laying ceremony at the tomb of Mesrop Mashtots and an event devoted to the mother language.

The bus for journalists will move from 3 Vazgen Sargsyan Street at 10:00.

At 14:00, with the support of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia and the Hrachya Atcharyan Language Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA), the hall of the Literature Institute of the NAS RA (15 Grigor Lusavorich Street, 3rd floor) will host the presentation of the books devoted to Western Armenian and published by the order of the Ministry of Diaspora in 2016 and in 2017.

The event will begin with welcoming speeches by Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, academician-secretary of the Armenian Studies and Social Sciences Section of the NAS RA Yuri Suvaryan and Director of the Language Institute Victor Katvalyan.

At 15:00, the Literature Institute will host a roundtable discussion devoted to the issues of Western Armenian.
