The board of trustees of the “One Nation, One Culture” Foundation held a session at the RA Ministry of Diaspora on December 28. The session was headed by RA Minister of Diaspora, chairperson of the board of trustees Hranush Hakobyan.

The board of trustees of the “One Nation, One Culture” Foundation held a session at the RA Ministry of Diaspora on December 28. The session was headed by RA Minister of Diaspora, chairperson of the board of trustees Hranush Hakobyan.

The board discussed the “One Nation, One Culture” Foundation’s programs and budget for 2011. Youth programs are important among the 12 programs included in the 2011 program of the “One Nation, One Culture” Foundation by the request of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. In her speech, Hakobyan mentioned that the RA President has assigned the RA Minister of Diaspora to earmark youth programs in 2011. With that said, the RA Ministry of Diaspora has declared 2011 as the year of youth and the sums allocated to the “One Nation, One Culture” Foundation from the state budget are foreseen for youth programs. Hakobyan particularly mentioned that the ministry is going to set up a school for young journalists, organize an exhibition for young painters of Armenia and the Diaspora, the printing of works by young writers, as well as an international festival of young filmmakers. The board of trustees took a unanimous decision to confirm the programs and the budget of the “One Nation, One Culture” Foundation.

The board also took the decision to assign an auditing of the foundation’s activities in 2010 and selected the legal person to implement the auditing.

Minister H. Hakobyan wished everyone a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas, as well as new victories for the Armenian people in the year which marks the anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
