RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan receives Co-Chairs of Pan-Armenian Association of Architects Vahe and Gohar Tutunjian
On December 9, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Co-Chairs of the Pan-Armenian Association of Architects Vahe and Gohar Tutunjian. Representatives of the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, architect Vahe Tutunjian presented the integrated plan for the “New Aleppo” district and the architectural solutions that are current and correspond to international standards. The plan might go on to become one of the best districts built in the past years. The district is designed for nearly 500 families and includes a swimming pool, garages and playgrounds. The “New Aleppo” district will provide the opportunity to create different types of stores and studios on the first floors of the buildings.
The minister proposed to arrange the architects’ meeting with the Syrian-Armenians in Armenia to discuss issues on construction of the district and to give answers to questions of the Syrian-Armenians’ concern.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan expressed hope that the sum required for construction of the “New Aleppo” district would be provided by our compatriots and that every Armenian would make his small contribution to this pro-national program. As a result, the Syrian-Armenians will have a warm corner in the Homeland.
