Awards granted at the RA Ministry of Diaspora

On August 9, the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia hosted Alvan Poghosyan, teacher of the Ethnos Center for Creative Development and Humanities in the Tyumen Oblast of the Russian Federation.

Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan conveyed the welcoming remarks of Minister Hranush Hakobyan. By the Minister’s order, Serzh Srapionyan granted the “Ambassador of the Mother Language” Medal to Alvan Petrosyan for her remarkable contributions to the preservation of the purity of the Armenian language abroad.

“The “Ambassador of the Mother Language” Medal is only granted to selected individuals and is one of the best awards of the Ministry of Diaspora. Our desire is to see more devoted individuals like Alvan Poghosyan within Armenian communities of the Diaspora. As Minister Hranush Hakobyan has stated several times, the sons of the Armenian nation who foster preservation of the Armenian identity and the mother language must always be in focus and their work needs to be valued and appreciated,” the Deputy Minister emphasized in his speech.

Alvan Poghosyan expressed gratitude to the entire staff of the Ministry of Diaspora and particularly Minister Hranush Hakobyan and stated the following: “The Ethnos Center for Creative Development and Humanities and the Mesrop Mashtots Armenian Cultural Center of Tyumen Oblast is always in close collaboration with the Ministry of Diaspora, and I am certain that that cooperation will become more and more prolific and effective.”

Silva Simonyan and Ruzanna Danielyan, teachers of the Mesrop Mashtots Armenian Cultural Center of Tyumen Oblast, were awarded with certificates of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
