8-year-old Daniel is of Armenian descent and in the spotlight of Spanish presses

Daniel Dallakyan, 8, is in the focus of Spanish presses due to the achievements that he has made one after another in the carting tournament taking place in Spain.

Daniel’s father, Eduard Dallakyan, who is also the child’s manager, stated that the child started racing professionally at the age of seven. After only a year, Daniel has already made many achievements.

“When Daniel started participating in professional carting tournaments, he won 7th place, while his peers are usually out of the top ten. This past winter, Spain hosted a Carting Tournament where the child won 4th place. After that, Catalonia hosted a carting tournament. Daniel was the youngest participant and competed with 11-year-olds and 12-year-olds and won first place,” Eduard Dallakyan stated in an interview with Armenpress.

Daniel received an invitation to participate in the next Carting Tournament that was taking place this summer. Daniel was successful again. He passed the pre-selection stage and won 13th place among the 20 top participants, being the youngest participant. The top racers will compete soon.

The child makes achievements through hard work, with support from his family and constant training with a professional coach. Daniel’s coach is Borkha Garcia, who is a winner of the Spanish Formula 3 race. He is currently training only with Daniel. During every training, Daniel works hard, riding 130-150 km during every lesson and at least 450 km a week.

“I love driving cars. I train and participate in tournaments with pleasure. My father helps me a lot and is always by my side. I will continue,” Daniel said.

When asked if the heavy workload doesn’t interfere with his classes, his father, Eduard Dallakyan emphasized that the boy has excellent marks and also finds the time to learn foreign languages.

Currently, the Dallakyans are staying in Dilijan. Due to the hot weather, the trainings in Spain were temporarily interrupted. They are taking advantage of the short break to spend time in the homeland. Eduard Dallakyan says it is important to be in the homeland from the perspective of maintaining ties with relatives and improving the Armenian language.

The Dallakyans moved to Spain in 1996. Daniel was born and raised in Spain.
