3rd stage of “Ari Tun” Program kicks off at RA Ministry of Diaspora

On July 3, the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted the solemn opening ceremony of the 3rd stage of the 2017 “Ari Tun” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for young Diaspora Armenians’ homeland recognition.

Among the participants of the third stage are 172 young Armenians from 14 countries, including the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Turkey, Abkhazia, Jordan, Kuwait, the USA, the Netherlands, Cyprus, the Czech Republic and Sweden.

Greeting the participants, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan particularly stated the following: “Dear boys and girls, welcome to Armenia, welcome to the Homeland, welcome home. I am glad that you will be enjoying your stay in the Homeland through the Program. I am also glad that you will be going sightseeing and will be seeing and understanding all that you have heard about Armenia and will know about your Homeland. The Armenian language courses are the most important. You need to learn and speak in Armenian. You need to know Armenian so that you preserve our language and transmit it to the generations. You are Armenian and from Armenia. You were simply born in different countries. Your home is Armenia, and you will return to the Homeland sooner or later.”

The participants of the “Ari Tun” Program expressed gratitude to the Minister of Diaspora and the organizers of the Program for providing them with a wonderful opportunity to be in the Homeland, learn Armenian and interact with their peers. The event featured performances by the participants, who sang, recited poems and performed a round-dance.
