Russia’s top obstetrician-gynecologist Leyla Adamyan receives ACOG Award

Russia’s top obstetrician-gynecologist, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Leyla Adamyan has received the prestigious award of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOR).

Hayern Aysor, citing rusarminfo.ru, reports that Leyla Adamyan received the prestigious award for her contributions to women’s healthcare.

“The award ceremony was held during the annual Clinical and Scientific Conference held in San Diego in early May,” reported ACOG’s website.

The Russian scholar of Armenian descent is one of the few women in the world who has received the prestigious award since the establishment of the American organization.

Leyla Adamyan is a Merited Scientific Figure of the Russian Federation and an academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. She has been awarded with the Order for Services provided to the Homeland and the award of the Government of the Russian Federation for her merit in the fields of science and technology. She is also a member of several Russian and international professional organizations.
