Armenian PM introduced to Grand Candy’s development programs

Armenia’s Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan paid a visit to Grand Candy Company.

The head of government toured the factories and was introduced to the conditions and technologies. The Prime Minister was introduced to the company’s key indicators and upcoming projects. The company’s representatives stated that in 2016, the company had earned AMD 23 billion from candy sales, exported 1,430 tons of pastries and received $9 million in investments. Currently, Grand Candy has 3,000 employees, and the number of employees grows when seasonal works begin. The average salary is AMD 160,000. The company produces its candies and pastries with state-of-the-art technologies and equipment and has a state-of-the-art system for quality control.

The Prime Minister was told that Grand Candy was predicting 100 percent growth of exports and was planning on establishing a new company to carry out its activities as a supranational company.

The head of government attached importance to the ongoing development of such large companies, the consistent growth of production and exports and wished the company success in the implementation of its future programs and projects.
