“Breath of Syrian-Armenian Culture in Yerevan” charity exhibition-sale opens in Yerevan

On March 6, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the vestibule of the Faculty of Philology at Yerevan State University hosted the opening of the already traditional “Breath of Syrian-Armenian Culture in Yerevan” charity exhibition-sale organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues NGO.
Among the participants of the opening was RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, who toured the pavilions, was introduced to the Syrian-Armenians’ works, highly appreciated their talent and diligence, high culture of service and unique style of presentation and particularly expressed her admiration of the handicraft works and exquisite silver objects.
Afterwards, the Minister of Diaspora answered the attending journalists’ questions and particularly stated the following: “By organizing these charity exhibition-sales, we want Syrian-Armenians to be recognized in Armenia and help them present their works to the public so that they become integrated into Armenian society. During these already traditional exhibition-sales, we help them and create conditions for them to sell their products and mitigate their worries in some way. I want them to continue to work with pleasure and dedication. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I congratulate all Armenian women. They are the protectors of the Armenian family, culture and the type of Armenians. I wish them peace and health so that they can maintain their love for life and the spirit of creating that is characteristic of them and continue to build their homes and the Homeland.”
The exhibition-sale showcases the handicraft works, as well as jewels and pastries prepared by over 60 Syrian-Armenians.
The exhibition-sale will also run on 6 and 7 March (10:00-19:00).
