Participant of “The Armenia World on the Internet” international conference: “Young Armenians can create a pan-Armenian network”

From August 25 to 26, the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia and Yerevan State University held an international conference entitled “The Armenian World on the Internet” at Yerevan State University.

Hayern Aysor’s correspondent sat down for an interview with one of the participants, representative of agam-france.org Shoushan Pilibosian, who delivered a speech entitled “The Activities of the AGAM on the Internet”.

Established in 1997, the purpose of the website is to disseminate news about Armenian culture and the activities of the Armenian community of France to all Armenians around the world. Visitors can also receive information about the locations of various community and ecclesiastical organizations to visit in case of need. The website also features 1,010 books in French and Armenian and in different genres.

Currently, the materials are only posted in French.

“A major factor for activities on the Internet is the fact that Armenia and the Diaspora need to work together on this platform. Only through this working style will we be able to achieve the advancement of our country.

Today, the Internet represents a powerful force. So, we youth can take advantage of the opportunity and create a pan-Armenian network.

To achieve all this, we first need to disseminate as many articles and as much information about Armenia and the Armenian people on the Internet as possible. This will help the world recognize us Armenians as a nation,” Shoushan said, adding that it was a pleasure for her to participate in the conference during which she had major and interesting discussions that will be helpful for her in the future.
