Hayk Sekhilyan able to walk with walking stick after being wounded in four-day Artsakh war

On the night of 4 April, contractual soldier Hayk Sekhilyan received a T4 cut in his backbone from a mine explosion at one of the military positions of the Talish village of Nagorno-Karabakh. Four months later, Sekhilyan is able to stand on his feet with the help of a walking stick.
“The doctors expected me to barely move my leg after six months, but four months later, I am walking with the help of crutches,” Hayk Sekhilyan said in an interview with Tert.am.
After the incident, he has undergone two surgeries and is recovering at the health center of the Armenian Red Cross. It will take another one or two years for the soldier to recover.
Hayk Sekhilyan, who has been serving in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia for a decade, has decided to return to the Defense Army after his recovery.
