Two of the soldiers wounded in four-day war are in critical condition

A legal process has been initiated to recognize 20 servicemen useless for military service as of 5 August due to the injuries that they received during the events that took place in April. Out of the 20 servicemen, 9 have already been recognized as disabled persons.

As Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Garnik Hayrapetyan informed in response to a question from “Armenpress”, 3 soldiers are currently undergoing treatment, 2 of which are still in critical condition. According to him, 6 soldiers have received and continue to receive rehabilitative medical assistance in the Republic of Armenia, and 2 soldiers-in a foreign state. “Hospitals have checked out 122 servicemen, and 11 are still on vacation for further treatment,” the Chief of Staff stated.

 One soldier is in need of further surgical treatment and needs hip joint prosthesis. “Five soldiers have received prostheses through amputation of the extremities at different levels, the prosthesis of which is being performed through rehabilitative assistance, the procedure and conditions of which are prescribed by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No 1035-N of 10 September 2015 “On repealing Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No 1369-N of 22 September 2006 on establishing the procedure and conditions for the provision of rehabilitative assistance and Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No 453-N of 12 April 2007,” as stated in the response.
