Together4Armenia web platform to serve as bridge for cooperation between communities of Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora

The Together4Armenia web platform is available for local communities in Armenia and members of the Armenian Diaspora and is called for promoting the cooperation between the communities of Armenia and the Diaspora.
Established through the EU-backed Social Response to Labor Migration Program being carried out in the Lori, Tavush, Shirak and Gegharkunik Provinces of the Republic of Armenia since 2014, the web platform will provide the opportunity to invite Diasporan Armenian experts of various fields to Armenia and help them exchange their experiences.
“The platform has different functions. First, we establish contacts with the members of the Armenian Diaspora who specialize in different fields. They voluntarily come to Armenia to exchange their experiences and share new working methods with their colleagues in Armenia. For instance, our Armenian American doctors register on the platform, and when we feel the need for those experts, that is, based on the needs assessment that we carry out in the provinces, we invite them to Armenia. To this day, we have invited experts from China, Russia, the USA and other countries,” program coordinator in Shirak Province Amalya Tumasyan said.
According to the regional coordinator, the web platform also provides individuals and different organizations with the opportunity to turn their ideas into a reality.
“The coordinators use those ideas, create special programs and post them on the website in three languages so that those interested can provide support, and in this case, it doesn’t have to be financial support. The person might have great ideas and can act as an expert of a specific field, providing his or her skills and knowledge. Before the creation of this platform, we would use other methods to establish contacts with members of the Armenian Diaspora (personal contacts and social networks), but now we are doing this with more easily,” Amalya Tumasyan concluded.
