Results of Days of Armenian Dance Program of 3rd “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival summed up

On July 30, the artistic directors of the Armenian dance companies participating in the 3rd “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival, which is organized by the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, had a meeting with Head of the Department of All-Armenian Programs at the RA Ministry of Diaspora Gagik Gyanjumyan.

According to Hayern Aysor, among the attendees were the artistic directors of Armenian dance companies, including Arpine Amiryan (Haiasa Dance Company of Moscow, Russia), Zaven Virabyan (Nayiri Dance Company of Saint Petersburg, Russia), Syuzanna Babayan (Nayiri and Vardanank Dance Companies of Maikop, Russia), Anush Mkrtchyan (Nayiri Dance Company of Stavropol, Russia), Hrachik Gevorgyan (Arpi Dance Company of Rostov-na-Don, Russia), Sofia Yesayan (Nur and Ani Dance Companies of Gelenjik, Russia), Ruzanna Avanesyan (Erebuni Dance Company of Minsk, Belarus), Metaksya Avagyan and Hamlet Hovhannisyan (Arax Dance Company of Kharkov, Ukraine), Lusaber Mzikyan and Sarukhan Gharslyan (Nayiri Dance Company of Ninotsminda, Georgia), Sevak Bdoyan and Zepyur Gharslyan (Parvana Dance Company of Ninotsminda, Georgia), Garik Papoyan (Ani Dance Company of Gagra, Abkhazia), as well as the employees  of the Department of All-Armenian Programs and the personnel of the office for the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival.

Gagik Gyanjumyan expressed gratitude to the directors of the dance companies for preserving and disseminating Armenian dances and culture abroad and participating in the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival.

Talking about the concerts that the dance companies gave in Yerevan, Armenia’s different provinces and Artsakh, the directors of the festival expressed gratitude to the RA Ministry of Diaspora and Minister Hranush Hakobyan for organizing the festival and providing Armenian dance companies of the Diaspora with the opportunity to perform in the homeland.

The sides exchanged views during the meeting. The directors of the dance companies asked their questions and received exhaustive answers, expressed their opinions and made relevant recommendations.

Let us add that 48 Armenian dance companies of 25 countries participated in the Days of Armenian Dance Program of the 3rd “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. For ten consecutive days, the dance companies performed in Yerevan, in the Armenian provinces of Shirak, Lori, Aragatsotn, Ararat, Gegharkunik, Armavir, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor and Tavush, as well as in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The festival also included master classes for the dance instructors of the Armenian dance companies of the Diaspora.
