Participants of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival in Artsakh

The dance companies and individual performers from the Russian Federation, Greece, Iran and Artsakh gave joint concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia at the Culture and Youth Palace of Stepanakert. The concert was held as part of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and attended by Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Narine Aghabalyan, as well as public and cultural figures and guests from foreign countries.

Among the performers were Tehran’s Zartonk Dance Company (artistic director Loreta Avetisian), Greece’s Avedis Dance Company (artistic director Shoushanig Semerjian), Saint Petersburg’s Nayiri Dance Company (artistic director Zaven Virabyan), Sochi’s Loo Dance Company (artistic director Yenok Badalyan), the Vardanank and Nayiri Dance Companies of Maikop (artistic director Syuzanna Babayan) and Zvartnots Dance Company of Rostov-na-Don (artistic director Armen Grigoryan).

The students of the Dance College of Stepanakert, Hakob Gyurjyan Art School, members of Artsakh State Ethnographic Song and Dance Ensemble and Artsakh’s “Us and Our Mountains” State Song and Dance Ensemble and the participants of the “Voices of Artsakh” Project greeted the participants of the festival with their performances.

The welcoming speech of RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan was transmitted by Head of the Division for Relations with the Armenian Communities of Central and Southern Asian countries of the Department of Armenian Communities of CIS countries Anahit Zohrabyan, who expressed gratitude to the Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic for hosting the participants of the festival, receiving them cordially and properly organizing the concert in Artsakh.

Artistic director of the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival Eduard Yesayants granted certificates and commemorative medals of the RA Ministry of Diaspora to the performers of Tehran’s Zaronk Dance Company and Artsakh’s State Dance Ensemble for their active participation in the festival.
