On July 21, within the scope of the multi-level staff military drills that were launched in the Armed Forces of Artsakh under the direction of commander of the Ministry of Defense and Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Levon Mnatsakanyan on July 18, the “Tigranakert” military school of the Defense Army conducted battalion tactical drills with combat shooting. Among those who followed the drills were deputy commanders, the heads of departments and services of the staff and their deputies, as well as high-ranking officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia who were in Artsakh within the scope of cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two Armenian republics, as reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
Presenting the peculiarities of the battalion tactical drills, the commander of the Defense Army stated that, like all the other measures of the army, the drills are also being held in line with the current and potential regional and geopolitical realities, taking into consideration the conclusions drawn after the war in April.
The tactical drills were launched with the attack of the adversary on the conditional border, followed by a shot from an artillery weapon and sabotage. Receiving the first blow successfully, continuing the battle and applying all the types of weapons of the subdivisions, our troops regrouped, created the necessary conditions and started regaining the lost military positions by teaming up with the forces that had come to help them.
There was smooth and constant management throughout the drills. The commanders responded to the rapidly changing situation immediately, and the subordinate subdivisions met their objectives with a high level of readiness, showing excellent readiness on the conditional battlefield and scoring high results in terms of firing and striking.
