Details about the historic visit-What will the Pope take as a gift from Armenia?

All Armenians in Armenia, Artsakh and abroad are getting ready for the visit of Pope Francis to Armenia. The events of the three-day visit are presented in the confirmed agenda, and one of the main events is the ecumenical ceremony and the prayer for peace to be held and said at Republic Square in Yerevan on June 25. Through that prayer, which will be followed by 1,200,000,000 followers of the Catholic Community and the whole world, the Pope will pray for the reestablishment of peace in this stormy region and for the solidarity between neighboring nations. It is peace that many countries need today, including Armenia and Artsakh.

Hayern Aysor’s correspondent managed to clarify some interesting episodes from the visit that is truly considered historic. According to the program, about 20 Armenian boys and girls from several countries of the Middle East (Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, the UAE, Egypt, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Iran) will present a special “gift” to the Pope. Each of them will present the soil brought from his or her country of residence. The Pope will consolidate the soils in the container that looks like Noah’s Ark and will place a grape branch symbolizing Noah that will be the gift of the Armenian people to the Pope.

Hayern Aysor met and talked to the Armenians having been provided with the unique opportunity to participate in the ceremony, learned about their lives, families and ancestors and listened to their formulas for the establishment of peace.

Hayern Aysor will present the stories of the participants later.
