Gdansk hosts international conference devoted to the arts of the Armenian Diaspora

On June 16, the National Museum of the Polish city of Gdansk launched the second international conference entitled “The Arts of the Armenian Diaspora”, which was organized by the Polish Institute of World Art Studies and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.
As reported the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among the participants of the opening ceremony were RA Ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan; Director of the National Museum of Gdansk Voichekh Bonislavsky; President of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies, Professor Yezhi Malinovsky and Vice-President of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies, Professor Valdemar Deluga.
In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Ghazaryan emphasized the significant role that the Armenian community has played in Poland, including in the sense of enrichment of cultural heritage.
Among the speakers were scholars of the universities of Armenia, the USA, Serbia, France, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and other countries. In their speeches, the scholars touched upon the cultural heritage that Armenians have created in different countries and in different eras.
